For parents, caregivers & teachers

Little moments.
Shared discoveries.

You don't need a perfect lesson plan to explore together.
A question, a picture, or a favorite song is a place to start.

01 · COUNT TOGETHER

Five things. One little mission.

Gather five large toys or blocks. Point to each one once and say one number for each object. Then ask, “How many altogether?”

Try a different arrangement and count again. Follow your child's pace.

02 · WATCH & WONDER

Leave room for a big idea.

Choose a video together. Pause before an answer or a discovery, and ask, “What do you notice?” or “What do you think might happen?”

Leave time for a response. A word, a gesture, a home-language answer, or a point to the screen all count.

03 · READ & CONNECT

Take the scenic route through a story.

Look at a picture before reading the words. Take turns noticing something small. Read a favorite page again, and help with unfamiliar words.

Let your explorer tell part of the story in their own way. Shared attention matters more than getting to the end.

Every explorer is different

There's more than
one way to join in.

Invite participation without pressure. Adjust an activity to your family's interests, language, and needs.

Sing, hum, clap, or simply listen.

Speak, point, sign, or share a gesture.

Pause, repeat, and revisit favorite moments.

Celebrate curiosity and trying together.
